The UI is pretty. The features look great. I'm not sure how I'd manage to not scratch the screen all to hell. Or keep it clean for that matter. But it looks to be pretty extensible and has some very innovative ideas in its design.

But they crippled it with EDGE.

EDGE will get you 100-130 kilobits/sec in throughput. And that's /IF/ you're in an area with ideal network conditions (no congestion, great signal, etc) which almost never happens. In my experience with Cingular in the DC area I received more in the realm of 40-50 kilobits/sec.

Typical web pages have around 150-300KB of content. (the HTML, images, CSS, etc) Figuring with 50kb/sec that will get you Apple's web page in just over a minute. Cnn.com will take about 30 seconds. If you won't be sending a lot of pictures around or browsing the web much this probably won't bother you. However, I think you'll definitely want to stick to using the WiFi connection for anything other than E-mail and very casual browsing.

Cross your fingers that Apple will get it together and add either HSDPA or EVDO support to this phone in the future.
